Solomon Adetokunbo is a social entrepreneur with over six years experience working in the non-profit sector & over three years work experience in the public sector. His experience ranges across marketing communication, social and behaviour change communication, public policy analysis/evaluation & project management. He consults for the Nigerian government on the ’N-POWER’ project, prior to this, He served as a project manager at the Lagos State Signage & Advertisement Agency (LASAA).
He is an active member of numerous civil society organisations and has a strong passion for combating human rights violation and redressing social and economic inequalities at the grassroots level. He is the founder of Positive Growth Foundation (PGF); a non-profit organization founded in 2014 on the premise of empowering and providing support for Nigerians (Startup support, Women empowerment & Youth Engagement). In addition to this he also co-founded the Mediapreneurs Community, a social community that seeks to increase Nigerian youths’ access to digital/media skills needed in the job market; as well as for self-sufficiency.
Solomon Adetokunbo is a graduate of Media & Communication studies from the University of Lagos and also holds a Masters degree in Public Policy & Administration from the University of Botswana. He is a Fellow of the Young African Leaders initiative; who has received numerous recognitions and awards for his contributions to development at the grassroots. By 2022, He aspires to have groomed and nurtured a league of over 2000 transformational social entrepreneurs across Nigeria; who will help to preponderate Nigerian youths’ access to skills needed to become economically self-sufficient and employers of labour.
In his personal life, he is a casual traveller who thinks that the only way to develop others is through sharing his life experiences. Solomon Adetokunbo has an intimate connection with Africa and loves the beauty of his city; Lagos more than anything else in the world.
Ejiwunmi Samuel Lectures at the University of Lagos; Mass Communication Department. Prior to this, he received a Bachelors and Masters degree in Mass Communication from the same Institution.
Samuel is the man you talk to when it comes to putting your ideas into shape. He is A seasoned Photographer, and a down to earth person. When he is not working you can catch him watching movies or sharing a drink with his friends.
Fatodu Folakemi is an accomplished, senior marketing professional with broad retail marketing experience, encompassing strategic planning, qualitative & quantitative research, interactive marketing, creative development, media planning & buying, database /direct-marketing, public relations, sales promotion and visual merchandising, with the ability and skill set to provide creative, innovative, enthusiastic and forward-thinking leadership in a team environment. Focused on achieving continuous, improved business performance.
She is focused on achieving continuous, improved business performance and empowering SME’s on how they can leverage technology to grow their business.
Adediran Adedaposola in his short stint as a media practitioner has worked with numerous media organizations including: Radio Lagos/Eko FM, Contagious, PEFTI film institute, amongst others.
Dapo first foray into the media industry was an internship at Radio Lagos/Eko Fm; during his undergraduate days at the University of Lagos. While at Eko Fm, he worked at the studio co-anchoring radio programmes as an understudy to experienced radio presenters. He thereafter interned at PEFTI Film Institute, Traffic radio and Contagious Inc. etc.
Dapo currently serves as the Chief digital media strategist at Redwire Marketing Consulting. At Redwire, Dapo drives social media channels for Redwire and those of its clients. One of his major achievements at Redwire Marketing Consulting is exponentially growing the organizations’ Twitter and Facebook followership (@yblnigeria). Through these social media channels, over 20,000 Nigerian youths have been impacted and provided with job opportunities, mentorship and cross-sector global best practices.
Other than his corporate dutiesand engagements, Dapo is also passionate about impacting lives at the grassroots, he accomplishes this by using his dexterity in graphics design and digital marketing for public good.
Femi is a reserved and over meticulous planner (annoying sometimes) who believes in background research, analytics and strategy. With international certifications in Social Media Management and Inbound marketing, he has worked on and executed major projects including the Lagos Countdown 2013, 2014 and 2015 editions, Sirius Africa initiative, NEA awards, DealDey Limited to name a few regarding Event management and Digital marketing.
He loves music, a bit of soccer (MUFC), and turning the internet inside out.
